How Fortis Shield handles your personal data, what we collect, how long we keep it, and your rights.
Fortis Shield is an independent editorial comparator of bunker, safe-room and shelter manufacturers worldwide. The site is operated by SOFT DEV FZ LLC, a Creative City Free Zone company registered in Fujairah, United Arab Emirates. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

When you submit the supplier match form, we collect your name, email, phone (optional), region/country, budget band, format requested, and any free-text message. We use this to generate your shortlist and email it to you. We may also forward your contact details to the specific supplier(s) we shortlist for you, and only those supplier(s).
If you subscribe to our weekly digest, we collect your email and the page from which you subscribed. We do not share newsletter subscriber lists with anyone.
Emails we send include open-tracking pixels and click-tracking redirects so we can see whether you opened the message and which supplier links you clicked. This helps us improve match quality. You can disable tracking by reading emails in plain-text mode or using an email client that blocks tracking.
We use Google Analytics (gtag.js) and Google Ads conversion tracking. Cookies and similar technologies are placed on your device. We anonymise IP addresses where possible and limit retention to 14 months. We do not sell or rent your data.
Our servers automatically log IP address, user-agent, referrer, and request URL for normal operations and abuse prevention. These logs are retained for up to 30 days.
We share your contact details with a supplier only when (a) you submit a match form and (b) that supplier is on the shortlist we send you. We do not sell or rent contact information. Suppliers receiving a referred lead from us are bound by the same data-protection principles described here.

Our servers are operated by Google Cloud Platform in the United States. Data sent to Google Analytics is processed in Google data centres globally. Both rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) for international transfers under GDPR.
We use first-party cookies for session preferences (e.g. language, currency choice), and Google's third-party cookies for analytics. You can clear cookies at any time from your browser settings.
Fortis Shield is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe we have, contact privacy@fortisshield.net for prompt deletion.
We may update this policy. Material changes are noted at the top of the page. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
